A new micro-brewery that was inspired by the original Kirkstall Abbey brewery set up by Cistercian monks in 1147. The brief was to create a contemporary craft brewery brand that references its brewing heritage.
The brand marque is a modern take on the traditional Cistercian manuscripts. The beautifully crafted letter K is complimented by hops and flourishes to create a unique and stylish symbol.
Pump clips and bottle labels use a classic illustration style with parchment texture and carefully crafted typography. The range of beers are named and designed to tell the story of Kirkstall’s brewing heritage.
